Lorraine Evanoff is an accomplished author and has over 20 years of experience in the film industry on both sides of the camera with multiple credits to her name. She also worked in Silicon Valley in corporate finance during the dot com era but made her way back to Hollywood as CFO of National Lampoon.
Lorraine is the author of The Louise Moscow Novels. Her debut novel, Foliage: An International Banking Spy Thriller, received a Book Excellence Award in the Thriller category in 2017. Inspired by true events while Lorraine was living in Paris, Foliage is a complex, intriguing thriller about a smart, new hero that uncovers one of the greatest banking scandals of the twentieth century. It is the first book in the series and is a fast-paced story that keeps readers on the edge of their seats.
Challenges as an Author
Lorraine found that having to market her book all by herself made the process difficult.
“Marketing has been very challenging because I do everything myself.”
In an effort to market her book effectively, Lorraine tried a variety of different marketing methods including book contests, social media, websites and email newsletters.
“My marketing approach was to submit Foliage to…book contests…and to promote through social media, Twitter, Facebook, Goodreads, Bookbub, etc. In addition to social media, I developed a website and blog.”
Lorraine also scheduled several in person events such as book signing tours and book festivals.

Her novel was also featured at the L.A. Times Festival of Books which attracts more that 150,000 book lovers each year. Lorraine has also been invited to speak at the Chicago Public Library in 2019.
In addition to writing novels, the multifaceted author also has a screenplay in
pre-production with the start of principal photography expected in early 2019.
With her second book releasing soon, Lorraine has built a solid foundation from which she can continue to market the series which is sure to gain further traction and success.
